What To Expect

The Pre-Visit

A couple of things to prepare for your salon appointment: Photos - The more pictures you can bring, the more we can hone in on the vibe, texture, and color you are hoping to achieve. Have a look at our Instagram Page for inspiration. Remember that while you may not get exactly what any picture shows (because your hair may be different) they are a great help in guiding your Stylist. Wash your hair 12 to 14 hours before your hair color services. This will assure your hair is clean, but allow the oil in your scalp to create a protective barrier against irritation and color staining.

The Consultation

During your consultation we will ask you about your hair history  - please be truthful about what you have used and use regularly. For example, if you used a box dye to go blonde or go darker or if you use a purple shampoo regularly for at home toning. This will determine what product your hairstylist will be using for your color. Being completely honest will prevent the possibility of unwanted color results. We will ask questions about your challenge areas, your desired results, products and tools you're currently using to style your hair, the condition of your scalp and how frequently you are able to visit the salon for your services. Touching base on all of these areas will help your Stylist in recommending and creating the best service for your desired result.

After Goodbye

At home maintenance is key to keeping your color fresh and vibrant between salon visits!

Our Stylist's are always here for you if you need any home maintenance questions answered. Please call any time during normal business hours. We are always happy to assist!  Our at home maintenance recommendations are - 1. Pick the right shampoo and conditioner. Although drugstore shampoos do contain ingredients found in high end salon products, they only contain small amounts of them. They typically contain chemicals, which can strip your hair of its natural oils, and color essentially drying your hair out. 2. Wash your hair less frequently - The more you wash, the quicker your color will fade – it's as simple as that the best way to care for your color is to wash 2 to 3 times a week. 3. Use heat protection – ingredients in heat protection products reduce heat damage by evening out how the hair heats up and also protects your color. Our Bumble and bumble hair products are heroes when it comes to protecting your hair health and hair color.
